The Network's Community Educator, Annalisa, was guest speaker at the September 20 Stafford Rotary Club meeting. Annalisa spoke of the Network's Shine Purple event from October 15 - 21. In Stafford, the event consists of a week-long domestic violence campaign. Residents and businesses are encouraged to shine a purple light in their windows, front porches or business fronts to raise awareness.

As part of Shine Purple, the Network will be holding events at the Stafford Community Center, including programs on the topics of Elder Abuse, Teen Bullying and Violence. They will also present the film Audrie and Daisy, a documentary about teen sexual assault, followed by a panel discussion. Click here for the Calendar of Events.

The organization assists families and individuals who have experienced domestic and intimate partner violence, educates to promote healthy relationships, and advocates for safer communities. They offer client and child-related programs and hold programs in schools on bullying, self-esteem, healthy friendships, cyber bullying and teen dating violence.
